How Plunder Works?

-How targets are selected ?

*There must be a fleet in the port you are now OR traveling towards this port OR traveling from this port. All last ports also count so your fleet will be available to 2 ports at any given time. If there is such fleet then you can attack it if:

If that fleet has a danger rating of at least 3.

Via Skirmish ( Update coming soon )

If the above conditions are met, this fleet will become available for you to attack. This can be made possible if you put 2 hostile natives on the target if a expert in trading...

*You earn gold coins and fame.

In detail:

Battle Fame:

Fame Loss: (10% of total Fame) / (Number of Ship owned by loser/25) -> Winner loots half of this

Maximum fame loss this way: 10% of total fame per attack

*The loser has to pay a ransom equal to the 10% value of the base ship price that lost the battle + 1~5% of his gold. (There is a limit of 250 000 max gold coins per plunder). So if you had a ship of the line you would need 75,000 gold coins to keep up its ransom... 20,000 for a Frigate... 135,000 for a man of war...

If he has the amount of gold coins, the winner takes it and the plunder ends. I can show you how a battle report looks like when you plunder a ship so... Without further or do , here is the report...

This is just a simple battle report i have showed you my famous plundering , but this is a most up to date battle report where i only use cutters...

Ship Damages

-Ship damages are applied only to the winner.

-In case of tie, ship damages are applied to both.

-Ships that are sunk in the battle, get a small chance (Sink Chance) to lose a level. If they are level 1, they are sunk (lost forever). The chances are relative to the amount of ships the owner possesses and are:

1 to 3 Ships: 0% Sink Chance (Ships never lose a level)

4 to 10 Ships: 2% Sink chance

11 to 25 Ships: 5% Sink Chance

26 to 50 Ships: 25% Sink Chance

51 to 100 Ships: 33% Sink Chance

101 to 150 Ships: 50% Sink Chance

151 to 200 Ships: 75% Sink Chance

201 or more Ships: 100% Sink Chance (Ships always lose a level)

When i had over 200 ships and kept on getting raided ships always used to loose a level : But i got approx 2 million gold coins a day so it was nothing to re-upgrade the cutters/Howkers. I can not show you the battles unfortunately due to it does not say the ship looses a level  during a battle report... But i can show you something that would the report look like...

Unnamed (#136004) has lost one level after a fierce naval battle.
