Me as a trader i have always used Large Fluyts or Howkers to trade with - I will tell you the one hour routes that are often the most profitable to players, Which are the following:
- St Martins : Baramas
- Vaasburg : Regis
- Tortuga : Tzogos
Every 3 days the stock markets change : Sometimes the route before is the best route after , it all depends on amount of resource : If the amount of resource is higher then the other ports that sell that good product , then it will be cheaper , if the amount of resource is lower then the other ports then what that port sells will be higher then the other ports...
These are the one hour routes, depending on your nation rank and nation you should try to trade for this if you are looking at simple basic trading, do not forget the danger rating system that goes with all your fleets:
+1 Each port visited
+6 Per attack
-18 Per attack
-1 Per hour
Now we will begin to look at the different types of trade ships available : Please note , all of these ships have been used and set for the 1 hour routes what i talked about first , if you want to find out the longer routes of how to do things , i highly recommend shaydos journey calculator...
Howker - I have used these, in my recommendations put 15 crew and stack 5 attributes on cotton sails at 4 of the howkers, at the end of the howker fleet should be a howker with 30 crew and 10 attributes ( You will need to level it up to 2 or even 3 depending on attributes given...
Fluyt - I have used Large Fluyts just like these, 22 fleets of large fluyts can bring in 1.2 million gold coins a day : So i imagine 20 fleets would make 600,000 gold coins.... Set the crew to full capacity : And cotton sails to 10 as they are slow.
Galleon - To make this a hour route what you will need to do is set the crew to 40 then the cotton sails on 5 : This should make it up to 57 Minutes travel time...
Large Fluyt - Now i use these in my opinion they are the greatest 20 fleets can bring in 1.2 - 1.3 million gold coins per day, I do it full crew and cotton sails to 10, then for extra profit have a howker at the end it makes 6,000 more then putting a cutter on the end.
MerchantMan - For what i have heard these are the best types of ship possible, fast durable and profitable, it takes longer to pay itself back but can make quite allot a day : Now i recommend keeping it at level 1 and stack 5 attributes on cotton sails , With full crew.
Trade Galleon - In order for this to go at its fastest : What you will need to do is upgrade it to level 4-5 Cotton sails to 10 as well as the iron hammocks , with full crew this should make simple routes last 1 hour and 15 Minutes...
Large Merchantman - To make this a one hour route , i suggest you put a howker at the end to slow the route down a bit and set the Cotton sails on 5 with Hammocks on 5 : Which means you will have to upgrade it to level 2 : Crew on 25.
So there we have it what you see above is what you should set your trading ships to for the one hour routes, they are a lot of other principles of trading ~ Like Backbones , but that my friends are another topic.
Fair winds.
