They are many different types of fighting ships of course this will specify which ships i would use and what  i would recommend so then here is a list of fighting ships...

Now i have used almost half on this list, i myself would go for the faster ships such as frigates they can be deadly : Here is a battle of how powerful frigates can be if stacked correctly:

Now this is a personal chart of what ships i would use : Please remember this is in my opinion..

Cutter ~ For plundering trade ships i have got to say this is the best one out there , cheap not to expensive if you loose it a new player can get a level 10 cutter for 300,000...

Sloop of war ~ Often ends up in high attribute counts... 48 or so : Much stronger then a sloop or a cutter , it is quite expensive to run : If you loose it that is over 1 million gold coins lost.

Brig Of War ~ Can be used to plunder the tougher traders with brigs on : Often ends up around 45 attributes , can beat a frigate in battle.Costs over 2 Mil gold coins : I would set a brig of war fleet up like this...

Brig o War, Brig o War , Brig o War , cutter, cutter

Frigate ~ A tough ship as my link shows you if it is correctly stacked of course : It can take down ship of the lines , large frigates anything possible... Base cost is around 4.7 Million i would run a fleet like this...

Frig, Frig, Frig , cutter , cutter

Ship Of The Line ~ Undoubtedly one of the best ships out there : Can plunder anything on the high seas : Often has a low attribute count 42-44 atts , then if you master craftsmanship : It will be a beast! It will be able to take down 2 ship of the lines with full HP a example as a battle : Ruby was a 55 attribute at the time... I would place ship of the line fleets like the following:

SOTL, SOTL , 3x Cutter

Man O War ~ Now i know many players : As i recall one of them had more then 5... But i have got to say this is not worth the effort needed to keep it : If it is 60 attributes someone will go after it , to me it is just a prize ship that you can put in your private mariner... I will show you a link that shows my Man of wars and not only that... Me plundering a Man O War... So here it is: But if you really want your man of war in your fleet i would recommend...

My recommendations for building big ships!

So then i have a few rules whilst building ship of the lines ect... I will tell you these...

 - The first rule is by all rights , never build a ship of the line if you do not have enough money to make it to level 10 immediately , this will make it not be a subject to call levitation's.

- Do not show it off : If you show it off , and people get wound up about it , they will go after your ships , trust me you may be saying " Yeah but i have 2 million gc on me at all times " So? They can light you up call Lev your tail/tails then take the ships via ambush.

- Always keep them behind 1 level 10 cutter : Otherwise it will be 75,000 gold coins per hit : Meaning 10 hits, 750,000 gold coins would of been gone leaving them with 10 more attacks.
