So then my fellow privateers : There is many techniques that you can fight with i will go through the basics of fighting with you for now , i will go onto Best War ships in another topic which will be under the topic of fighting...

 

So then so this is the danger rating system...

+1 Per port movement

+6 Per attack

-18 per defense

-1 Per hour

 

So by rights looking at the danger rating i can identify that you may as well attack a player 3 - 4 times... 

6+6+6 = 18 danger

           -  18 per defense

           _________________

               0 Danger Rating

          __________________ 

Yet if you could attack the target 4 times : That gives you 24 danger rating : I have noticed in most cases that another player does not notice you are lit until a few hours after the attack so lets say it has been 4 hours since you last 4 attacks... Your danger rating will be on 20... 20 - 18 = 2 Danger Rating... You will be " Below The radar " sort to speak meaning players can not attack you..

 

Voodoo for Fighting

There is many types of voodoo out there to help you fight i will look at the " Basic Voodoo " as the " Good voodoo" is another topic : For example all you would need  for plundering is 2 Hostile Natives : As per port movement the fleet has one danger rating, then add 2 is 3 danger rating : The fleets will be visible and you can have a "bloody" good time getting those gold coins... Just make sure you have those turns... The turns are vital in order to attack. Per hostile native at a  normal price is 1 credit per one : I would not recommend going for any more then 2 credits though : Unless there is a shortage then they are expensive... Works out 2.5 credits currently... But this has been known to get 20 million gold coins : Just from a few hostile natives , that is according to Mr. Synyster (#43621)

Now another Basic voodoo for the more serious of raids to get gold coins you might need 3 Fugitive from justice : This will light up the player every 2 hours... As per hour the player looses one danger point so 2 danger points per hour... Obviously 2 FoJ will light up the player every 3 hours...

 

Now for a active player effectively ( If hes just a pure trader )... You would only need 3 FoJ , 2 Hostile Natives and a mind bar to plunder ( Take all ships off player ) the player : All this would only cost 60 credits : Not bad in considerate what you might get , eh? 

 

 

Simple ships...

For fighting i still believe the cutter is the best option for those that want to be pirates : It is a small vessel that can take down traders : Which if you are a pirate that is the only thing really you will  be plundering... It can take down a level one frigate if it has too maybe even a level 2 : But with fire ship you can take down any ships and i also think having a cutter you can not really loose anything to your rivals : As you have nothing to loose. So any voodoo they cast would be a waste , only few voodoo you should look out for is SoW ( Swarm Of Worms ) ,  Disfavor and not to forget Confuse... The rest... FoJ , HNs... would do you no harm...
