~ AyeCappy's Interview! ~

Ahoy there! We are here with, Aye Cappy/Groggy, please take a sit I hope your travel was not to rough! Remember you will be getting paid to do this!

Aye, my travel was not bad, lets get this done with!

1) Which one of the following do you class yourself as: I myself, would class you as a pirate : But, who knows you may consider yourself as something else....
Pirate
Merchant
Privateer
Nobilist

I have dabbled now in all roles I found available to me, but yes I have returned to my roots as a lowly, unaffiliated, non political pirate. In the old days that would have included "hits for hire" and other, as the ac/dc song goes, "dirty deeds done dirt cheap," but I have turned down such work already.

Interesting to know : Never knew you tried to take up the role of Merchant, but hey learn something every day!

2) Please, give your definition on the following : And your opinion of what you think of them :
Pirate
Merchant
Privateer
Nobilist

In terms of PG, if you are a pirate, you are conducting raids either solo or in concert involving voodoo in which you are the benficiary in some monetary way or other way. If you a merchant you obviously can be an armed merchant--in fact the more I try to answer this question the less I like it. For a long time I was an armed pirate merchant who traded with brigs and bows... These labels are blurry at best and reductive at worst. I'm not even sure what a nobilist is, some player who sinks a lot of $ into taking some port? Not my thing.

Very humble opinions I must say : Well descriped as well.

3) Out of a Frigate, Large Frigate or Ship of The Line, which one would you choose? ( Not mentioning attribute layout ect. )

You could define a mission and make this a lot easier, but basically I'm a light (or regular) frigate man. I enjoy the books of Patrick O'Brien, whose captain Jack Aubrey commands a variety of Age of Sail vessels, but most successfully in a frigate named Surprie. You will find a fleet named Luck Jack and a frigate named "Surprise" in my own navy.

Well I would like to define the Mission - But it is a Logic Question So in one aspect, it does not matter : Sounds good to me , a frigate can take out anything ( If you have the voodoo these days ) - No offence to you, just in general.

4) Please, name a Victorious time for you : Perhaps a infamous raid that took place, that you took 50 Million gold coins , again, it can be anything you want...

Hard to top my first solo raid against Dungeness (pre pirate). He hadn't been hit in ages and ran an omni present trading business that crippled our guilds ability to hit HELM targets. My raid was both political and profitable, as well as having a staggering number of fleet actions. CD came on in the course of the raid and there was a vigourous throw down of voodoo. While one of my epic early wins (and subsequent defence). I did make a rookie mistake and qutie to the laughter of SSR and TPK who observed the raid, hit Dungeness down to zero fame--or it would have been even worse.

Interesting : Aye, mistakes are funny if they are not you : Otherwise it suck's right?

5) How long have you been in Pirates Glory, i have been here for about a year : Judging by your Player ID i would say around 2 years? Am i right or not?

You know I'm not exactly sure, but if not 2 years we're getting close. I was reflecting recently that this is about the longest I've ever played a game that wasn't chess.

2 to many! Joke, mate... Aye, after a while you tend not to count on how long... Makes me feel old...

6) Which guild do you consider " The Best " in the game? Or do you not consider any to be the best, all average?

The guild I like best doesn't exist anymore--the old school, pre-PK merger ZomB. I begged to be given the key to that guild even if the merged PK took all its members but me and my then fledgling protege Trixi. It had great chemistry, brilliant members, a real laze fair political system. Bastically anything went and people were encouraged to start their own operations. We innovated a lot of group tactics that alas are almost gone from the game now. Best of all we operated with almost no pre made politcal treaties or NAG's, so trully pirate heaven. Of course the results of that Zom B guild are legendary--basically we took on everyone at once and won easily. We won the war--but alas, lost the peace.

Unfortunatly, I was not there to be in such a guild : I would of liked to be part of it though : Many do still think that , I can list a few players that say the old PK was better then this one... Aye, every war there is no peace...

7) Most Important Question of all - Do you like Avonmora Daily News/Interviews?

Sure, you've put a lot of work into it and it could grow into something fun

Well thats what matter's otherwise you would be out on ya ears!

8) Please - In our previous Interviews, we have discussed old nations and what not ~ Can you think of any nation that has fell whilst you were here? Or a nation that could of been great which fell?

I was paid once to dismantle a nation...it might be around, but its not a player.

I think I might be able to guess which Nation : But not going to say it...

9) Name a time when you felt most " Upset " in the game about something perhaps the England War?

I get too upset by a lot of things in this game. Ticktock drove me nuts, Sandoval drove me nuts, Maj still drives me nuts. I guess its a good game if it gets one to care so much. You and Danik drive me nuts too

Thats what matters! Thanks for sharing haha, sorry to hear you have players you dislike though...

10) Have you ever spent money on the game? If so, what is your opinion on people that buy credits quiet often?

I've spent $40 total on the game. The first $20 was to support the developer, the second was for revenge. I'm happy with the first choice but not the second.

Nice to see you have supported the game : All donations are good , not a lot compared to what some have paid, but certainly... A fair amount.

11) By looking at your Battle score : You are quiet victorious to all those pirates out there, looking for advice : What advice can you give them?

I've been flirting with catching Rolando at the top wins spot, I got up to second at one point. Oh and listen PR, I'm a terrible speller too, but if you are going to use "quite" as much as you do you might be more "quiet" about it.

Sounds, a bit weird : I know what you mean though ; Aye Cappy rehashing Jokes since 2012 ;)

12) Was there anybody that taught you stuff in the game? Such as how to cast properly on players? Or did you learn all the stuff by yourself?

It is hard to learn the magic of voodoo raids at first. No one really shares that stuff. In my endless long meandering brag posts, there are some hints. SSR showed me how, specifically how, to do a HN raid. I try to share the favor.

Aye that be true, but eventually after getting cast on : You learn that way, and through thinking : You find out other engaging ways...

13) Are there any players that you miss : Since being inactive? ( As in is there a player that could of been great : But life got in the way )

Edward Teach maybe dtt, its a shame when anyone goes to be honest, For the most part...

I could of swore Edward came back a while ago, but eh... Nice to hear your opinion.

14) Have you ever seen a pirate owning a port? Ever so when?

Pirates had St Martins when I started PG. I still think of it as a "pirate" port

Me, i do not think it of as a pirate port... But, interesting to know the last pirate port, was St Martins : 2 Years ago.

15) Can giants be taken down? If so, what would be your advice to people that want to try it?

Anyone can be taken down in this game. The advice would depend on the giant and who was taking him or her down

A very moddest opinion : And alright advice I guess...

16) You are seen as a great pirate : Players compete for Man of war count/Ship of the line count : How many mows/sotls have you managed to grab in total?

I used to be behind the scenes organzing mass MOW/SOTL stealing operations. At one point we basically had all the active MOW in the game. Many were lost back however so its hard to really brag but lets say over 50. I'm probably the only person to steal a ship from ADMIN and live to tell the tale...

Aye, steal ships yes : Go after his ships, nope, others have survived... 50 man of wars, I believe the question was, how many by yourself with your own voodoo but you know...

17)When you first started your forum war ( Aye Cappy vs World ) did you ever think it would be this much of a success? Like 22,000 views?

I did not think my forum war would have quite the life its had. For a while it was the go to source for Avonmora news. When I went less active, it was nice that the Avonmora Daily was there to pick up the slack. Just to prove I'm an avid reader, Morgan mentioned "armed merchant fleets" in his interview with you. You should do a follow up on just that subject, he is a great master of various armed merch configurations and seems to be constantly tinkering with them. Others have totally abandoned the practice. Would be interesting reading!

A interesting development it has been ( Since when I was around at least )... Aye we do try to cover news! But, we can not go inside guilds or what not : So we try to hit everything we can!

Regarding another possible Sir Henry Morgan Interview - I , pirate roberts can not promise anything it is up to : If Sir Roberts says " Go for it " whilst also Sir Henry says yes : Then it can happen... But, I think it will not be in this Volume at least... We have a lot of Interviews under go at the moment...

Many thanks for coming to our News Station Aye Cappy, Please have a safe travel home! If you have one, as you are a pirate that is!

I wish avonmora daily all the best : Safe Winds.
